Education | EWAGITA with other stakeholders has been engaging in meetings, discussions, and advocacy on various issues related to SDG4 Education access among children and adolescents at different levels. Discussion on Maputo Protocol its achievements and challenges at the country level with various stakeholders supporting Girl's education such as FAWE TZ, ICCAO, TENMET, etc. Engaged in meetings related to Re-entry policy implementation with ICCAO, and KINAPA, Transforming Lives, under the Malala Fund where the Girls shared experiences and EWAGITA provided the inputs on how to improve the current situation and who are the core stakeholders to smoothen girls access to education and skills. EWAGITA has been elected one among many CSOs operating at Ukonga ward to be part of the MTAKUWA Ward Committee to empower parents, school children, and the community on child rights protection and fighting against violence against children at all areas home, school, and in the communities |
Health | EWAGITA has been engaged in discussions, research, and baseline studies on women and adolescent health specifically on Sexual and Reproductive Health EWAGITA Director was a panelist representing Tanzania CSOs during the Menstrual Hygiene Management Context of Self-Care in East Africa online meeting/webinar organized by Amref Africa. EWAGITA as part of Strengthening Young Mother's access to SRH information and services conducted a Baseline Study on Myth and Misconceptions of SRH among young people where young people/young mothers and adolescents from four regions were involved in Kigoma, Mwanza, and Dar es Salaam. Community outreach to the targeted stakeholders and conducted discussions on SRH/HIV and Family planning with men and young men, women and young women to share overall knowledge, information and skills on HIV prevention and SRH |
